 Vocational Guidance programme

 

The Employment Exchange, Port Blair as part of Vocational Guidance to the educated unemployed youth will be organising a programme at ITI, Dollygunj on self-employment scheme and vocational training on June 14, 2005 at 10.30 AM. Resource persons from SISI, DIC and KVIB will be conducting the programme.

 

Seizure of three Myanmarese dinghies

 

On receipt of information, police party of PS Diglipur and Kalighat, led by SHO Diglipur, alongwith forest staff of Kishori Nagar Range (Under Diglipur Forest Division) left for Buddhagope area on 28.05.2005 morning. On reaching Buddhagope the police party searched nearby Karen Nallah creek. The search party noticed 3 camps of Myanmarese poachers at about 1530 hrs where they were taking meals and processing the sea cucumber. On hearing the sound of engine dinghies of anti-poaching party, the Burmese Nationals fled towards dense forests. Their three dinghies, which were in anchorage near the creek of Karen Nallah, have been taken in police possession after observing all legal formalities. These Myanmarese poachers were indulged in collection of sea cucumber in the said area. Police camp has been established at Buddhagope and combing operation is continuing along with IRBn staff, staff of Forest Department and civilians under the supervision of Dy. SP North Andaman.
