PCRA’s gesture for tsunami affected students

 

 

PCRA (Petroleum Conservation Research Association) is a field office under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. As a special gesture to help the Tsunami affected school students who have to appear for their Xth and XIIth Board examination, PCRA has collected and uploaded notes and reference study material on their websites www.pcra. org & www.bio-fuels. org/tsunami1.htm.

 

The needy students can access the websites and download notes and reference material with the help of computer and get it printed. They can circulate, photocopy and exchange so that maximum children can get the benefit. 

 

Resource person for MGGC Mayabunder

 

 

The Mahatma Gandhi Govt. College, Mayabunder, requires the service of a resource person to deliver guest lecture in the subject of History. Persons possessing master’s degree with 55 per cent marks in the subject and second class bachelor’s degree can appear alongwith their application containing bio-data, testimonials, copies of certificates together with original certificates for walk-in interview in the chamber of the Principal, Mahatma Gandhi Govt. College, Mayabunder, on 1st March, 2005 at 10 AM.

 

The resource person shall be paid honorarium as per the UGC norms @ Rs. 250/- per lecture subject to a ceiling of Rs. 10,000/- in a month. The service of resource person shall be utilised on as and when required basis during the academic session 2004-05. 

 

Vipassana meditation course for jail inmates concludes

 

The ten-day Vipassana meditation course organised for the inmates of the District Jail, Prothrapur concluded yesterday. Superintendent District Jail, Shri Tarsem Kumar was the chief guest at the function. The course was imparted by Shri Laxminayan Khemka, Vipassana teacher from Igatpuri, Mumbai. Besides long-term convicts, undertrial prisoners and staff of the jail also participated in the course.
