Repair of fishing boats
To repair fishing boats, all tsunami affected fishermen of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are requested to contact the nearest Area Fishery Officer for recommending their cases for timber allotment by the Forest Department, Andaman and Nicobar Administration.
Assessment of loss
It is for information of all fishermen of Andaman and Nicobar Islands that the applications/requests for assessment of losses incurred due to tsunami of 26.12.2004 were collected upto 30.04.2005. No applications/requests for assessment of losses shall be considered/entertained w.e.f 01.05.2005.
