DDT spray programme

     Under the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme the Directorate of Health Services will undertake the 1^st round of DDT residual spray from June 15 to August 30 area wise throughout A&N Islands. DDT is the effective insecticidal remedy for controlling the Mosquito vector. Moreover, the impending rainy season may lead to increase in mosquito population and this can be effectively controlled by DDT spray. In this regard, the Director of Health Services has  appealed the general public to extend their cooperation to the health care staff for carrying out the DDT residual spray in and around their houses.

 Gram Sabha of Harinagar

    The next gram sabha meeting of Gram Panchayat Harinagar will be held at 4.30 pm on June 15 in the Vegetable Market, Harinagar. Matters viz. social audit of MGNREGA, finalization of 12^th five year plan etc. will be taken up during the meeting.

Nagarpalika Vidyalaya

   The Nagarpalia Vidyalaya (opp. Netaji Stadium) will reopen on June 30 as usual and new admissions of the wards in classes Pre- KG, KG-I & KG-II shall also begin from June 30 onwards.
