Grant of subsidy for purchase of Pollution Control Equipment

 

The Department of Industries has introduced a Programme for the Grant of 50% Subsidy for procurement of Pollution Control Equipment, Captive Power Generation Sets, Solar Power, Wind Power, Bio Mass & Hydro Power for Micro & Small Enterprises in Andaman & Nicobar Islands approved by the Ministry of Micro Small & Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India, New Delhi. Under this programme, Post Investment Subsidy will be granted after procurement of Pollution Control Equipment or Captive Power Generation Sets or Solar Power or Wind Power or Bio Mass or Hydro Power by any Micro & Small Enterprises set up in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The programme shall be available to all such Micro & Small Enterprises which have commenced its commercial production/activity on or after 1st April, 2007. The subsidy reimbursable under the programme is 50% of procurement cost of Pollution Control Equipment or Captive Power Generation Sets or Solar Power or Wind Power or Bio Mass or Hydro Power subject to a maximum of Rs. 7.50 Lakhs.

 

The eligible MSE units intending to avail subsidy under this programme shall submit their claims to the Directorate of Industries, Andaman & Nicobar Administration in prescribed form alongwith all supporting documents like project report, bill or vouchers relating to procurement of Pollution Control Equipment, Captive Power Generating Sets, Solar Power, Wind Power, Bio Mass & Hydro Power, bill of lading and money receipt in case the equipment are brought from mainland and brought to Port Blair, documentary evidence for ownership/ lease of land, copy of memorandum-II under MSME Act, 2006 etc. The prescribed form can be had from Subsidy section, Directorate of Industries, Port Blair on any working day between 09:00 AM & 05:00 PM.
