 Professional Defence Service Profile During his 41 years of service in the Army, he has held Administrative, Instructional and Operational assignments at various ranks. He has held following important assignments:-
 
(a)

Director General of Military Training

 

 :

Responsible for the formulation and implementation of the overall training polices of the entire Indian Army. Management of the training and educational establishments. Also responsible for intra-service joint trainings with Air Force & Navy besides co-ordination with foreign Defence Forces.

 

(b)

Provost Marshall

 

 :

Responsible for the overall discipline and security of the Armed Forces and co-ordination with the Civil and Police authorities for maintenance of law and order within the Army.

 Assistant Director General (Organisation & Manpower Planning)
:

In-charge of overall organisation and manpower planning of the Indian Army (Officers and Men). Perspective planning for intake of manpower into the Army.
