Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Bhartiya Janata Party candidate has won the lone Parliamentary seat from A & N Islands. He got elected from this constituency defeating his nearest rival Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma of Indian National Congress Party by a margin of 2990 votes. Shri B P Ray polled 75,211votes while K R Sharma got 72,221.
