BIRDS (Birth and Death Registration System):

The BIRDS project is a web based System developed by NIC, Andaman for 'Online Registration of Births and Deaths' occurring in A & N Islands. The project has major objectives of Web based registration from Health Centres under DHS, Printing of Birth and Death Certificates from the website and Generation of all statutory reports required by A & N Administration and Registrar General of India. The project is being implemented in all 26 registration centres in A & N Islands covering around 96 health centres in the A & N Islands. In online environment.

E-Courts project :

The e-Courts project is a MMP under NeGP scheme of GoI, implemented by NIC in all the courts in the Country. The e-courts project is presently implemented in all District courts at Port Blair providing The Court Information System (CIS) the heart of the software providing services to the stakeholders, including Daily cause list, Judgements and Orders etc., The project s being implemented in all District courts at Port Blair.

Electoral Roll Search

The complete electoral roll of A & N Islands is computerized by the Elections Department, A & N Islands at the respective ERO/AERO offices in A & N Islands. The database is transferred to NIC on regular basis and this website provides a Search facility for locating the Elector details based on EPIC No, Name etc., The electoral roll can also be downloaded from the website.

Electronic Citizen Services (ECS) of DC (South Andaman) Office :

The ECS is a web based software developed by NIC, Andaman for providing identified services of the Deputy Commissioner (South Andaman) office to the citizens. The major services include Downloading of permits, Society and Marriage Registration, Grievance tracking etc., The software is being implemented in live environment at the DC offices at Port Blair and Nicobar and specific services are published in the website.

Electronic Citizen Services (ECS) of Tehsil Offices :

The ECS of Tehsil Offices is a web based software developed by NIC, Andaman for providing identified services of the Tehsil offices to citizens. The major services include filing and tracking for issue of certificates of various types like Income, Senior Citizen, No Objection Certificate, Caste, Nativity origin, Family member, Land valuation, Dependence, Residence, Local, Unemployment etc., The software is being successfully implemented in all the Tehsil offices of South Andaman ie., Ferrarganj, Port Blair and Hut Bay and specific services are provided in the website.

HelpDesk@LG Office :

The HelpDesk@LG Office is a web based software developed by NIC, Andaman for online filing of grievances (both Public and Private) by the citizens and to track their redressal in the Internet. The project is ain initiative of the Hon'ble Lt. Governor for effective redressal of grievances of citizens under direct control of Lt. Governor office. The HelpDesk@LG office is being implemented in online environment throughout the A & N Islands.

Islander Identity Card :

The software maintains the details of Islander cards issued to the citizens of the A & N Islands and is being implemented at the office of DC (South Andaman). The details of Islander card is published in the Internet.

Land Records Information System :

The Dweep Bhoomi software is developed by NIC, Andaman to computerize the land records of A & N Islands. The project handles the activities of land records including Mutation, Sub division, Land Acquisition, Diversion etc., and for issue of computerized Form-F extract, which is the equalent of Record Of Rights, conferring legitimate ownership of the lands. The software is being implemented at all the Tehsil offices in Port Blair.

MIS of Department :

This is a website based on MIS system, developed by NIC, Andaman, for macro level monitoring of activities of Departments of A & N Administration, on monthly basis, at. The software covers ten specific areas / activities which are common to offices like (a) Cases pending with GoI for Pension, UPSC, Recruitments (b) Expenditure incurred against BE and RE figures (c) Status of Manpower sanctioned, Posted and vacancy position (d) Grievances handling status (e) Projects monitoring etc.,

GEMS project :

The GEMS project is the first initiative of it's kind in A & N Islands on a Web based system for 'Online Govt recruitments Examinations Management System GEMS' with following major objectives :
1. Online Receipt of Applications from Candidates of A & N Islands for Examinations conducted for Recruitments to various Posts in A & N Administration.
2. Online Processing and Approval of Applications by A & N Administration.
3. Online Random Allotment of Examination centres to Candidates.
4. Downloading of Hall Tickets by candidates with Exam centre details.
5. MIS system with reports required by the Administration.
This project has facilitated the Citizens of A & N Islands in applying online, brought in Transparency and transformed the functioning of the Personnel Section, Secretariat by bringing in efficency, quickness and correctness in the entire process. The GEMS project has replaced the manual activities of the Personnel section to a great extent.

MRP Passort Received :

The CIPPS project of NIC (Hqrs) is implemented at Passport Section, Secretariat, Port Blair for receiving and processing of Applications for Passport received from citizens. The Machine Readable Passports are printed at MEA, GoI and sent to Port Blair. The website informs the status of receipt of these Passports to the applicants, for collecting the same.

PDS Items Issued to FPS

The work flow activities of Issue of Public Distribution System (PDS) items (Wheat, Rice, Sugar and Kerosene) from Godowns to Fair Price Shops (FPS) are computerized as a work flow activity in live environment, with a back end software developed by NIC, Andaman and integrated with live Ration card database. All FPS shops in Port Blair and nearby areas are covered under this project. The data is transferred to NIC on regular basis and the website disseminates status of PDS issued to a FPS shop, in the area of the Ration card holder.

PROMISE

The software facilitates the monitoring of Projects being executed by A&N Administration throughout the islands. The monitoring is done both financial and physical, against the targets and pinpoints deviation and delays. Departments update status of projects periodically, Top management track status of projects and Graph facility enables easier monitoring of projects .

Ration Card

The website provides information of the ration card holders details for the entire UT, with dynamic search based on ration card no, name etc., The summary details of card holders across different categories (APL, BPL etc.,) are disseminated location wise from the database dynamically.

Transport Project :

The Transport project is a national level project of NIC being implemented in all states and UT's in the country. The project has two major components : (a) SARATHY for Driving license functions and (b) VAHAN for Vehicle Registration functions. In addition, the functions of Vehicle Permits is also computerized with a software developed by NIC, Andaman and integrated with the other packages. All these projects are being implemented in live environment at office of Directorate of Transport, A & N Administration at Port Blair.

Tsunami RR

After the devastating Tsunami that struck the Islands in 2004, Relief and Rehabilitation measures were undertaken to provide benefits to the affected people. The website consolidates the details of benefits provided to the people by the Relief and Rehabilitation section of Secretariat, as well as benefits provided by line departments like Agriculture, Fisheries etc., The data is captured at each beneficiary level and search mechanism is built through which it is possible to ascertain the benefits in a single window.

Quarter Allotment System

The website provide live information about the details of Quarters available in Port Blair and nearby areas, the list of officials occupying the quarters and the waiting list of officials who have applied for quarters.
