OBJECTIVE MISSION SERVICES TIME FRAME

OBJECTIVE

To provide vessels related services such as Pilotage, berthing/ unberthing.
To provide handling facilities for Cargo and Passenger.
Responsible for Port Services viz handling of Cargo and its delivery.
To make regulation of the conservancy and safety of Harbour.
To frame set of charges for handling shipping and storage of goods and other property.
To provide maintain and maritime communication system and to provide navigational aid for safe berthing of Ship.
Maintenance of Passenger Hall with all modern facilities, medical examination facilities, parking place etc. to the passenger.
To provide Cargo handling equipment at the Port.
Supply of water to the vessels.

MISSION

The Port Management Board is committed to serve with credibility and punctuality in the shipping schedule, Embarkation and Disembarkation of passenger in time, objectivity and transparency in the policy of the public in the over all shipping services.

SERVICES

Stevedoring and mooring and unmooring.
Pilotage and Tug.
Dredging
Reception and Disposal/ treatment of sullage of oil/ discharge from vessels.
Minor repairs.
Cargo handling equipments.
Embarkation and Disembarkation of passenger.
Augmentation of facilities for passengers.
Entry of visitor's vehicle to the port.
Unloading and loading of cargo from the vessels.
Delivery of cargo.
Collection of wharfage and demurrage charges.
Issue of afloat work license.
Supply of water to the vessels.
Berthing and Unberthing of the vessels.

TIME FRAME

1.	Berthing and Unberthing	24 hours notice required for berthing/ unberthing of any vessels. Meeting held daily except holiday at 10.30 hrs. at PMB to decide movements of next day.
2.	Embarkation/ Disembarkation of Passenger	Programme of embarkation by DSS/SCI Embarkation commences normally 2-3 prior of sailing. Disembarkation - immediately on arrival.
3.	Loading and Unloading of Cargo	CONTAINERS - only at Haddo - II LPG - at Hope Town Jetty normal loading time 8hrs. PETROLEUM PRODUCTS at Haddo-I, unloading time 36 GENERAL CARGO at Haddo, Chatham and Phoenix Bay.
4.	Wharfage/ Demurrage charges collection.	30-45 minutes for clearance.
5.	Port Equipment's booking.	Agent/ obtain permit after payment from Port Management Board. Hand over permit to Assistant Engineer, ALHW, who will provide equipments.
